Green Energy Initiative Powers 50 Cities

A landmark achievement in sustainable development has been reached as the National Green Energy Initiative successfully powers 50 major cities using 100% renewable energy sources. The project combines solar, wind, and hydroelectric power to meet the energy needs of over 25 million people.

The initiative, launched five years ago with an investment of $15 billion, has exceeded all expectations. Solar farms covering 10,000 hectares, 500 wind turbines, and 12 hydroelectric plants now generate 8,000 megawatts of clean energy daily.

Environmental scientist Dr. Meera Joshi noted, 'This achievement demonstrates that large-scale renewable energy is not just possible but economically viable. We've reduced carbon emissions by 40% in these cities while creating 50,000 green jobs.'

The success has attracted international attention, with delegations from 15 countries visiting to study the implementation model. Plans are underway to expand the program to cover all major urban centers by 2030.
